Heading to the thrift to get our Easter baskets today. Genius. Also thanks for sharing the link to making plant dyed eggs. Im excited to do some science experiments in the kitchen next week!

LOVE that you’re thrifting those baskets! Have you ever dyed playsilks? We did plant dyes with plain white ones when my daughter was younger and it was so fun.

I think this is the first Easter that my little guy will really *get* the concept of Easter, and I am so excited to make him a basket...thank you for planning it for me!! haha

I feel like Easter is built for the really little ones because picking up eggs to put in a basket is like, a favorite activity 😂

I enjoyed this approach. The joke decoder looks fun and I’ll be adding that to my son’s basket. I like to restock chalk and bubbles too and add summer sandals or swimsuits to the basket.

Thanks Natalia! We need new swimsuits, so I love that idea.

I greatly appreciate the commitment to “magic but make it low-clutter.” The real luxury is buying things that won’t haunt me from the bottom of a random drawer 6 mos. from now!!!

Stealing “do what feels good and leave the rest” and applying it liberally - especially to Easter outfits and literally anything involving paper grass. In true Traci fashion - I have not bought ONE thing yet.... SIGHHHHH

I found a shoebox full of paper scraps that we were apparently “saving for later” last week and it sent me into a tailspin of cleaning the whole playroom 😂 I also have bought nothing but that’s what spring break is for! And now I have my list lol

I like this take—no one is getting new Easter outfits in our family either except my son because everything he wears gets destroyed. The heat is already here in AZ so my Easter baskets always include a fresh pair of goggles and a new swimsuit!

Tricia Torley's avatar

My son is also the only one getting new clothes because he will not stop outgrowing everything!

I agree less is more here! I really hate the junk too and throw it away all too often...

Tricia Torley's avatar

Sometimes in a fit of frustration, I just walk around and toss all the junk into a bag that accidentally disappears 😬

I took a work break this afternoon to run to the grocery store for candy and coloring books. I’m also big on the restocking of things for Easter. Those paint sticks are my favorite things to steal from my kids art supplies to use in my own artwork 🤣

Tricia Torley's avatar

That’s so cool that you use them too!

Well this was good! Thank you for all your tips for Easter!! 🐣

Thanks for reading Natalia!

I feel you on being a type c mom. I come from a type a mom who made Easter feel as special as Christmas and I always wonder how she did it. I am just not made that way! Love your Easter outfits 😍

Tricia Torley's avatar

I think all kids love their traditions, no matter how elaborate they are. I’m sure you’re doing great 💛

This felt really good to my brain, thanks for paving the way! Cutie smocked outfits from Poshmark is genius and I am taking major inspiration from your Easter outfit, crossing my fingers that Texas will let me wear a cardigan and not be too warm yet!

I always have the hardest time planning for Easter weather because sometimes it’s 40 and sometimes it’s 80. Poshmark is my go-to for kids church clothes and shoes - so many things have only been worn once!
