A note before today’s post — My job isn’t something I typically talk about on the internet but I’m a counselor at a Title I school and many of my students utilize SNAP benefits.
This was lovely to read. I have felt similarly -- I'm not a "fashion person" either. But that doesn't mean we don't have something to add to the conversation. You bring you're own unique perspective, and that's what matters!
Thank you for sharing. I always appreciate candid reflections and it can be intimidating to put yourself out there on the internet.
I’m glad that Substack officially acknowledged that they are a “social media platform” (confirming what we already knew). The imposter syndrome is real and starting from scratch on the internet is HARD. There “isn’t an algorithm” but of course there is. Everyone has influence, and if you care about it, that should be enough. ♥️
I’d love to feature you in an upcoming in practice feature if you’re up for it.
Tricia, I’m so glad I found you here. I loved reading this and learning more about you. That line about: if you care, then it matters - really stuck with me. When life feels chaotic, I’m with you—getting dressed feels like the one thing I can control.
I go through constant imposter syndrome on here too, so I felt that deeply. I’m so glad this space has become a little postpartum haven for you. Please never leave…you’re doing amazing. 🤍
This was beautifully written and so much of it resonated. I 100% get imposter syndrome here too! Thank you for sharing your gift of writing.
Thank you Xue, I appreciate you 🫶
Thanks Jaymee! I felt some similar tones in your piece last week, and it was so nice to feel a little less lonely.

This made me teary in the best way. You’re a really great writer, Tricia. Keep going. 🤍
Thank you Sarah! That means a lot.

It’s such a weird spot - I have loved talking with others and feeling a sense of community but the algorithm of it all makes it feel yucky sometimes?
I love your Substack and that you have such a unique POV, and I’d love to chat more about that! Let me know 😊

Thank you for being my Substack role model and always a true girl’s girl 🥰
😭 someone add that to my non-existent Linkedin!
