Notes from October '25
What I read, saw, ate, bought, and loved this month

I bought these clogs via Poshmark, which arrived in amazing condition and are now in the running for the greatest secondhand deal of my life.
This Kara Duval class was my favorite movement this month — bookmarked for revisiting.
I had one of the best meals I’ve had all year at Reyla with friends from college (Hi, Allie!) If you find yourself in Asbury Park, go and get the haloumi.
Also in Asbury, we had a tarot reading party, where I was told that I needed to be meditating morning and night (working on it).
I loved these roasted root vegetables with hot honey, which I made to try to impress my dad.
I listened to this episode of Snap Judgment — high school student journalists are extremely cool.
Gap had a big sale, and I bought another oversized sweater.
I read and loved this Substack post on two of my favorite interests - Joan and Taylor.
On a Sunday, I baked an apple crumble (inspired by Traci Landy and the many, many apples from our CSA).
I’ve been listening to All the Way to the River and I have so many thoughts. (Did you read Jia Tolentino’s piece in The New Yorker? )
Also so many thoughts — this season of Love is Blind was so strange?!
I started cooking a bolognese at 7pm one night, which was truly terrible timing but I made enough to freeze for a few more dinners.
Thanksgiving meal planning has begun. We always make this turkey recipe, but try to mix it up with the other sides. I’m determined to save enough time and energy to make a dessert this year.
Currently still in the midst of planning outfits for family photos. I’m taking notes from Brittany Healy and eyeing this outfit for baby boy. I know conventional wisdom says to start with mom’s outfit, but we’re starting with my daughter, who is wearing a dress my mom and I both wore when we were five (sob). She’s also wearing these shoes, which are her specific brand of fancy.
Will I ever be able to afford anything from The Row? Definitely not. Have I been seriously entertained by all the sample sale discourse? 100%.
I put together a playlist of what I’ve had on repeat lately, play with your morning coffee or while folding a million loads of laundry at the end of the day.
I’d love to know, what was the best part of your October?
xo, T
